Cash for Clunkers.????

First of all I hate this damned program....I'm not paying my Federal taxes to buy a new pick-up tuck for a redneck... and another thing is lots of nice older classics are gonna be gone... old Mercedes, BMW's and many other nice cars are gonna be murdered... yeah that's right murdered.... dealers have to kill the engine before sending them to the junk.. it is a horrible thing.. in my book it's Murder.. car murderers... I'll never forget this....

I think I'm falling in love with Lamborghini

I never hated Lambo or anything like that.. I like them but they are too outrageous and I didn't really dream of owning one (the Countach and Diablo) .. but on the other hand I'm willing to give up my soul or whatever the devil needs to get my hands on a 288 GTO or a F40... I won't think twice.. but lately I've been wanting a Lambo.. I'll promise I'll be a good boy please get me one... :) .... The cry of the Lambo engine send shivers down my spine... I was driving behind one in my SL with top down and Ohhhhh .. I wish I can describe the sound and the feeling... it's heavenly... I think the new Lambo's are one of the best sounding cars ... sometimes I prefer them over a Ferrari sound.. it has all the correct notes and it has the scream of the Ferrari's the low deep growling sound of the AMG's ... I don't know if there is anything more I can ask from an engine... don't get me wrong I love Ferrari's but they have higher notes and sort of a high pitch scream... hmmmmm.. life is hard.. not sure which one to pick... (not that I'm getting one :) ) ....both Gallardo and Murcielago looks amazing too.. I can't find an ugly spot.. it looks great yet it still has the outrageous edge that all the older Lambo's had... if you look at the Ferrari line-up I personally think none of them looks great...on the other hand I haven't seen a beautiful Ferrari since F355 (it was a beauty).. 360 is not bad but there are some angles that doesn't look good... the Enzo is just a pure engineering car.. form follows function so not much art and beauty in it... 612 .. umm it's ok.. I prefer 456 over 612 (look-wise) ... and the 599... there is something missing about that car.. I don't like the single rounded rear tail light.. it lacks the Ferrari character because of that...almost all of the beautiful Ferrari's has two round tail lights on each side ... and the ugly california... I still can't find an angle that I like..... but some of you might say what are you talking about Ferrari's are beautiful... well they maybe but not as much as they use to be... and just because its a "Ferrari" people might already assume whatever they make must be pretty and go with the flow and say yeah sure they are beautiful... I personally think all of the current line-up is so so... ... so let's go back to Lambo.. they are beautiful... properly beautiful... you don't need beer goggles.. every angle is stunning...I'm definitely falling in love with Lambo.. no doubt about it... BUT... when the time comes to get a fancy Italian super car... I'm afraid my money still goes to Ferrari.. I might only be able to get a 550, 456, 360 or if I'm lucky enough a F430 but it's still a Ferrari.. it has long and rich history of racing and it's the brand that I've always been dreaming of owning one since I was so so so young... I love you Lambo but Ferrari is my childhood dream... I have to settle down with Ferrari when time comes.. sorry... forgive me...

Can't sleep

I don't want my old self back... I'm so worried and afraid... I've plan everything and now it's on hold... hopefully not for long...

Saw this at the junk yard a while ago... somebody chopped up a E28 5 series and turn it into a pick-up... :) interesting...but it was badly done... not proper..

Been thinking about getting a new Benz

Let's say you like the current E class (W211) you've been thinking about getting one but that 53k or so price tage has been holding you back... you no longer need to worry ... since the new 2010 E class (W212) came out dealers are scrambling to get rid off the current brand new stock of 2009 (W211) E classes and there are so many good deals out there... For example San Diego Mercedes is offering $10000 off on all of their W211 stocks with low 1.9% APR or something like that.. so E350 with nice options such as sport pkg and nav and etc etc would go around 53k to 55k or so... now you can get a brand spanking new W211 E class for 43k or so... Of course you have to stay with the old look but hey it's still a very handsome car... So like I said if you love the W211 and always been thinking about getting a new one... this is it..no better time than now... of course if you love the new W212 like I do you'll have to come up with 53k or so to get a nicely optioned E350... just wanted to share...

Micro sedans/coupes?... no thanks....

So I don't know you guys notice it but most of these small micro sedans that are on sale in US or previously on sale in US usually go on sale as hatchbacks in other markets. There is this thing with consumers... they want more for the money... which is all fine by me but for god sake try and find some sense of style before you buy a Toyota Yaris sedan, a Chevy Aveo sedan or even a Nissan Versa sedan.... what kind of beauty do you find in these horribly ugly little sedans.. I know you'll argue oh there is more room for ppl and cargo yeah but if you really need that more room and cargo you'll be looking at something a bit bigger than these little match boxes. And all the manufacturers try to cell every small car as a sedan in US. I would have bought the toyota Echo for daily use if they offer in hatchback.. instead it even has the hideous coupe version. We are also missing out on all the great little hatch backs that are on sale all over the world.. the Polo GTi for instance... why do people want these little horrors? I may never know..I just want to stomp on them when I see one. I would buy a Yaris hatchback but I would burn the sedan if I can... these cars started life as hatches and just attaching the trunk doesn't make it look good... the rear and the front looks like they are from two totally different cars and sometimes Era... I know I can't do much to change... it has been like this and it'll always be like this in the future (at leas in US)....maybe it's just me.. i'm the one who's not seeing the beauty in these little machines...maybe I'm wrong... well let it be, let me be wrong and let me continue hating these little things...so take a look at some of the comparisons below try not to throw up... they are horrible (the sedans versions)...

Saving the AMG

Folks I sometimes hang out at the junk yards looking around checking some rare cars you usually find (sad but true) and past weekend I went to Pick-a-part in Monrovia... as soon as I walked in my heart sank... the 1st generation Porsche 911 body shell siting there rusted and stripped out... usually I take pics of rare finds but this one is too hard to watch it again so I try to ignore and walked by. Later down at the European can section I saw this lapis blue W126..I noticed immediately because it has thin Euro bumpers so I walked towards it and to my amazement it has AMG body parts... the front lip spoiler , rear trunk spoiler and lip spoiler ... so I quickly looked inside to see if I'll find a rare AMG steering or any of the trims but no luck... it has manual windows for the rear.. and headlight level adjusters with manual AC knobs (unlike the US cars which comes with dreaded auto control) any how I was temped to take the parts out and save it for my future w126 but let's be real I have a w124 in need at home and there is no way in hell I'll get one soon so I tried really hard to walk away... at least I took bunch of pics .. so when I got back home I posted the pics on www.benzworld.com forum w126 section and all these good folks got all excited and try and jump on this rare find and at the end one of the w126 guys went to pick them up... anyhow the old AMG parts are extremely rare and some waited for years before they can get their hands on one... it's sad to see that whoever own the car didn't car about this and try to crush it... I would punch that person in the kidney if I can :)... but I'm glad that I saved these parts from crusher ... sad that a nice clean lapis blue w126 is heading to the crusher and will be gone for good... so save these rare things and if u are not sure take pics and send them to me I'm sure I'll be able to help... below are some pics of the parts that I save :) hehehe





This hood is very different form the MB's of that era. It looks more like the facelifted w124 hood. It might very well be orig AMG but I haven't seen one with it so can't say it for sure.

It has to start somewhere

If you know me you should know by now that I don't like Mercedes I love them. It's not just a company that makes fine automobiles it's an institution that has been working since it's birth to make our lives better, safer and more enjoyable (at least for me). My love affair with Benz started way back. My dad also influenced me and fueled my love for cars, especially MB's. So I'll be blogging about cars but you know which brand I'll be blogging more about. :) Let's see how far I go.
